The Team
Paula Murray
Director
Director of MBS, Paula is a Fellow CPA (FCPA) qualified Tax Agent, holds a Diploma of Financial Planning, and is an SMSF Association Specialist Adviser. Focusing on business consulting, succession planning, and has specialised in Self Managed Superannuation, since 2004. A culinary queen, Paula ensures MBS staff do not go hungry! She also delights in travel planning, especially the (surprise) annual MBS staff retreat.
Paul Murray
Director
Joint Director of MBS, Paul has been with MBS since 2005 and is a CPA qualified Tax Agent with significant experience in IT from a background in the software development industry. These days he has taken a back seat with MBS to focus on his role as Founder and Director of AccountKit, a cloud-based toolkit made specifically for accountants and bookkeepers, affectionately referred to as a “Swiss Army Knife for Accountants”. Paul is a gaming and Lego nerd when he gets a moment to himself.
Jay Hudd
Tax Accountant
Jay is a CPA qualified accountant who has been with MBS since 2015. He works with clients across a range of industries, specialising in Primary Production.
Pepi Ye
Tax Accountant
Joining MBS in 2009, Pepi is a CPA-qualified tax accountant who works with clients primarily based in South Australia. Originally from China, Pepi is known around the office for her warm personality, signature cat emojis, and distinctive, creatively decorated keyboard.
Riley Chapman
Tax Accountant
Riley joined the MBS team in 2021 as a graduate with a Bachelor of Accounting and he has since completed his studies to become a qualified Chartered Accountant. He’s originally from a farm in the Mid North of South Australia and outside of work, he enjoys playing cricket and hockey.
Michael Young
SMSF Specialist
New to the MBS team in 2026, Michael brings a friendly attitude and a love of all things AFL, proudly backing Melbourne whenever the footy’s on. Outside the office, they enjoy spending quality time with family and making the most of his downtime.
Kate Jones
Accountant, BAS & Bookkeeping
Working at MBS since 2008, Kate has a broad knowledge of all things related to small business. She works across accounting, BAS and bookkeeping (including payroll). Outside of work, she’s a mum to two teenage boys, cheering them on them at basketball, volleyball and go-karting, and especially loves family adventures.
Lee Rocher
BAS Administration & Bookkeeper
We are pleased to welcome our newest CPA qualified accountant, who joined MBS in 2025. He brings strong technical expertise and a practical approach to supporting our clients. Outside the office, he enjoys sport.
Maddie Ballinger
Tax Accountant
New to the MBS team in 2024, Maddie is a qualified Accountant from Bordertown countryside with a broad foundation of practical experience. A bookworm at heart, she loves watching the Hawks win and travelling around the world.
Narelle Eckert
Tax Accountant
Narelle joined the MBS team in 2025, bringing with her a wealth of accounting knowledge and enthusiasm for helping clients. Originally from South Australia’s Mid North region, she enjoys travelling, getting lost in a good book and honing her skills as an avid pool shark.
Oliver Burkin
Junior Accountant & SMSF Assistant
New to the MBS team in 2025, Oliver joins as a Junior Accountant with a strong enthusiasm for learning and accuracy. Born in the UK, he relocated to Port Pirie before moving to Adelaide in 2012. Outside of work, Oliver enjoys keeping active through sport and discovering great food wherever he goes
Kirsty Piggott
Office Administrator & Staff Support
Kirsty was born and raised in Tailem Bend, a small town in SA. She is known for her outgoing and sociable nature, able to strike up a conversation with anyone, even a ”brick wall.”. She works in our Administration team and oversees ASIC corporate compliance.
Darren Taylor
BAS Administration & Bookkeeper
Working in Bookkeeping, Payroll and BAS. Joining MBS in 2021, he brings diverse industry experience and technical skills. Enjoys spending time with the kids/family, and watching the footy – just quietly go the Pies!
Pierre Pizzorno-Fuentes
Office Administrator & Staff Support
Pierre joined the team in 2026 and brings a fresh perspective to the office. Originally from Chile and fluent in Spanish, he enjoys staying active through soccer and spending his downtime with friends and family.
Megan Staniford
Receptionist & Office Administration
Megan joined the team in 2026, stepping in while Debbie is on maternity leave. Outside of work, she enjoys bouldering, spending time with her cat, and unwinding with a good balance of adventure and downtime.
Debbie Poyner (Maternity Leave)
Receptionist & Office Administration
Debbie joined MBS in late 2019 as a part of the Administration team. She brings with her a wealth of experience and skills, including a background in music. Although she may be modest about her abilities, her colleagues at MBS rate her as a highly valuable member of the team.
